Blue Heron Rules and Course Information

Please read and print for reference on the course.

Scoring for Stableford
• Aggregate scoring: Both players’ Stableford points will count.
• Men: Double bogey max. If you score higher than double bogey, you will not earn any Stableford points. Please pick up if your score will be higher than a double bogey. Record an X plus your most likely score.
• Women: Double bogey max on holes where you have one dot, triple bogey max for two dots. Please pick up if your score will be higher than triple bogey. Record an X plus your most likely score.
• Record gross score only for each player. Record a score for every hole (actual score or X-most likely score).
• Leave the rest of the scorecard blank. Use a separate card for your own scores.
• Add each player’s front nine, back nine, and total (optional, but very helpful).
• All four players in each group must submit the two scorecards to the tournament director together and remain in the scoring area until the card is reviewed.
DO NOT POST YOUR SCORE. LINDA WILL POST THE SCORES.

ALL JUSTGOLF LOCAL RULES ARE IN EFFECT.
CELL PHONES: Use prohibited except for emergencies. Silence phones.
OBSTRUCTIONS: All cart paths are immovable obstructions and relief may be taken in accordance with Rule 24-2b (stance plus 1 club-length at nearest point of relief, no closer to hole).
STONES IN BUNKERS: Movable obstructions; they may be removed if they interfere with your swing (Appendix I, Part A, Local Rule #3f).
OUT OF BOUNDS STAKES AND FENCES: No free relief from OB stakes or fences. If ball is unplayable, drop within two club-lengths and add one penalty stroke to your score or play under stroke and distance. If your ball lies out of bounds, you must play another ball under stroke and distance.

Stableford Scoring for Blue Heron

If you have never played a Stableford, all you really need to know is that you will play your own ball and record the gross score on each hole for both you and your partner. I will convert your scores to Stableford points at the end of your round. Both players’ points count on each hole (aggregate scoring).

A Stableford is a stroke-play competition in which the high total wins, not the low. That's because in Stableford, your final score is not your stroke total, but rather the total points you have earned for your scores on each individual hole.

This is a two-man or two-woman team tournament in which both players’ Stableford points will be added together.  There are no negative points – if your partner has a bad hole, he/she will not drag down the team score. The JustGolf Stableford tournament is a net and gross tournament and awards points as follows:

• Net or gross double bogey or worse: 0
• Net or gross bogey: 1 point
• Net or gross par: 2 points
• Net or gross birdie: 3 points
• Net or gross eagle: 4 points
• Net or gross double eagle (albatross): 5 points

Players will receive 100% of their Course Handicap. The maximum Course Handicap is 18 for men, 24 for women.
