JustGolf Better Ball Tournament
Vineyard Golf at Renault
Tuesday, July 26, 2011

• Please carry your cell phone and add the following numbers to your contacts:
         Vineyard pro shop: 609-965-2111X800
         Linda Miller: 609-784-2550

• Please allow enough time to register, putt, pay the $30 course fee, and arrive at the first tee ten minutes prior to your starting time.

• The golf course does not permit coolers or outside food. There are water coolers on the course, a beverage cart, and a halfway house. If you must bring your own snacks and drinks, please store them inside your golf bag.

• Tips: Please don’t forget to tip the men who load your clubs onto your cart and clean your clubs at the end of your round.

• If you have never played the course, the Vineyard website has a virtual tour:
http://www.vineyardgolfatrenault.com/home#!__home/vstc8=virtual-tour/vstc13=1

• Pace of Play tips (expected pace is under 4 hours and 30 minutes)
      1. Park your carts at the back of the green so that following players can hit as soon as you leave the green.
      2. Record your score when you arrive at the next tee.
      3. Don’t waste time looking for lost balls, as the score with a lost ball is unlikely to count.

• If you have not mailed your application for the Modified Scramble at Rancocas prior to the Vineyard tournament, you may give them to the registrar at the Vineyard.

Tournament Rules

1. Each player receives 90% of his course handicap.

2. This is a better ball tournament. Please pick up if you know your ball will not count. If you pick up, record your “most likely score” preceded by an “X,” e.g., X-6.

3. Record both scores for each hole, even if you pick up. Every score will be posted.

4. There are no “gimmies;” every ball that is potentially the better score must be holed.

5. All USGA rules and JustGolf Local Rules (see link on website) are in effect.

6. Summer rules – Play the ball down everywhere.

7. Out of Bounds marked by white stakes and boundary fence posts.

8. Environmentally sensitive areas: Red stakes with white tops indicate environmentally sensitive areas where entry is not permitted. A ball coming to rest in these areas may not be searched for and must be abandoned. Relief options are the same as for that of a lateral water hazard except that the ball may not be played from inside these designated areas.

9. Dirt cart paths: There is no free relief from dirt cart paths.

10. Drop areas: You may use the drop areas located on holes #3 and #13.

11. Posting Scores: Do not post your scores. Scores will be posted by the tournament director.

12. Bathrooms: Portables are located near holes 3, 6, 14, 15, and at the turn.
