The tournament at Linwood Country Club on Thursday, September
7 will be primarily a better ball tournament. Players will be permitted to give
advice to their partners.
Better Ball – Net
Men will compete from the White tees (67.5/129; 6019 yards) or
the Silver tees (63.9/122; 5374 yards) in one tournament for net prizes. Women will
compete from the Green tees (66.4/114; 4670 yards) for net prizes.
Championship – Gross
The medalist (lowest individual gross score) from each set of tees will be crowned (not literally–I
have not purchased crowns) JustGolf Champion for 2017. The medalists from the
White tees (men’s champion) and Green tees (women’s champion) will receive a
trophy or a gift card (their choice). The senior medalist (minimum age 70) will
receive a trophy. Men may choose to play from the White or Silver tees. All men
age 70 and over are encouraged to play from the Silver tees – the shorter
distance will be more fun, and you will have a better shot at becoming the
senior champion.
