Town & Country rules and course information

Please print and bring to the tournament.

Scramble Rules
1. You must use 7 tee shots from each player. Record whose shot was used on the scorecard.
2. Each player tees off on each hole. Select one tee shot and both players play their second shots from that spot, and so on, until the ball is holed. Once the ball is holed, the score for that hole is final.
3. Select the shot to be used, place a marker on the ground. The next shot by both players must be hit from within 12 inches of that marker, no closer to the hole. You may not use the 12 inches to improve your condition (stay in rough, stay in bunker, stay in hazard, stay OB, etc.). Once the ball is on the green, both players must putt from the exact same spot.
4. Record one score for each hole.
5. There are no “gimmies;” hole every ball. Once holed, the score counts, so don’t putt a ball near the hole if you want your partner to try the putt.

Return completed scorecard in person to Linda Miller. I would appreciate all players at the scoring area so that I can take pictures.
• Men play Blue tees (69.7/121); Seniors play White tees (68.2/117); Women play Green tees (67.2/115).
• Large, doughnut-shaped putting green. Driving range (buckets cost $4, $7, and $10).

Local Rules
1. Out of bounds: Defined by white stakes and split rail fences. Note: There is no free relief from OB fences or markers. You must take an unplayable and assess yourself a penalty stroke if you choose to take relief.
2. Environmental hazards: Note signs and red/green stakes indicating environmental hazards on Hole #2 (both sides), #12 on the left, and #18 on the left. Do not enter or play from these areas. Treat them as lateral hazards – drop within two club-lengths of where your ball crossed the margin and count one penalty stroke.
3. Carts: Cart path only on all Par 3’s and holes 15 and 17. On all other holes, enter the fairway at 90 degrees and keep cart on fairway. Please DO NOT ride in the rough or on mounds.
4. Course care:  Please repair ball marks and divots and rake traps.
5. Stones in bunkers: Stones in bunkers may be removed.
6. Pace of play: 15 minutes per hole average, 4 1/2 hours total. Rangers may monitor your play if you fall behind.
7. Cell phones: Turn off. Call pro shop for emergencies: (856) 769-8333
8. Scorecards: Must be signed and returned in person to Linda Miller immediately after your round. Players should remain in the scoring area until the score is verified.

Course Information
Yardage markers: Fairway posts measured to center of green: Yellow (250), Blue (200), White (150), Red (100).
Hole locations: Green flag-Front; White flag-Middle; Yellow flag-Back
Fescue: Hit a provisional every time you hit a ball into the fescue.
Drop areas:
#13 (near Green tee box). Use for ball in lake, add one penalty stroke.
#14 and #16: Free drop in drop area if tunnel/safety fence interferes with your swing, stance, or line-of sight.
Yardage card: Note that the back of your scorecard has detailed pictures of each hole, including location of hazards and distances.
Additional hole information and advice:
#1: Hit a provisional if your ball is in the hills at the left or at the end of the dogleg. Please do not drive your cart on the hills or in the rough.
#2: Choose a club you can hit straight. There is an environmental hazard on the left (do not enter, treat as a lateral hazard: two club-length relief plus one penalty stroke) and trouble on the right.
#3: Trouble along left side all the way to 150 marker. Also OB on left.
#4: Port-a-John near #4 green.
#5: Bunker crossing fairway behind 150 marker is a waste area. You may ground your club.
#6: Port-a-John at #6 tee. Drainage ditch to left of path is a lateral hazard.
#7: Aim your tee shot between the 150 marker and the bunker to the left.
#9: You have 30 yards past the 150 marker before the ground drops down towards the water.
Please use the bathroom in the building to the right of the cart path, near 250 marker. You will save time by not having to walk up to the clubhouse and climb the stairs.
#13: Men may use the drop area to the right of the forward tee box. Add 1 penalty stroke to your score.
#14: Port-a-John just before the tee on the right.
#16: Green has three tiers.
#18: Distance from forward tees to lake is 153 yards. Ladies, drive with caution.
