Rancocas Rules and Course Information

JustGolf Men’s Modified Scramble
Rancocas Country Club
Monday, August 8, 2011

Please print and bring to the tournament.

Scramble Rules
1. You must use 7 tee shots from each player.
2. Each player tees off on each hole. Select one tee shot and both players play their second shots from that spot, and so on, until the ball is holed. Once the ball is holed, the score for that hole is final.
3. Once you select the shot to be used, place a marker on the ground. The next shot by both players must be hit from within 12 inches of that marker, no closer to the hole. You may not use the 12 inches to improve your condition. Once the ball is on the green, both players must putt from the exact same spot.
4. Record one score for each hole.
5. There are no “gimmies;” hole every ball.

Return completed scorecard in person to the official scorer.
• Men play Black tees (68.7/126); Seniors play Silver tees (64.7/114)
• Putting green in front of clubhouse. Driving range at first tee (free range balls).

Local Rules
1. Out of bounds: Defined by white stakes, perimeter fences, or the crossing of public roads and walkways. Note: There is no free relief from OB fences or markers. You must take an unplayable and assess yourself a penalty stroke if you choose to take relief.
2. Ball striking high tension wires on #8 and #11 must be replayed at no penalty.
3. Environmental hazards: Note signs indicating environmental hazards. Do not play from these areas. They are lateral hazards – drop within two club-lengths of where your ball crossed the margin and count one penalty stroke. Use the cut line (where mowed grass meets hazard) as the hazard boundary.
4. Carts must stay on cart paths around tees, greens, all par 3’s, and where noted.
5. Extended cart path rule: Free relief (drop at nearest point of relief plus one club-length, no closer to hole) from all cart paths and hardpan along the edge of cart paths.
6. Course care:  Please repair divots and rake traps.
7. Stones in bunkers: Stones in bunkers may be removed.
8. Pace of play: 15 minutes per hole average, 4 1/2 hours total. Rangers and ambassadors may monitor your play if you fall behind.

Rule reminder: If you both hit a ball out of bounds, you must play your next shot, under penalty of one stroke, at the spot from which the original ball was last played.

Hole location: Red (front). White (middle). Blue (back).
