If you would like to play a practice round at Ramblewood,
the course has offered a $30 rate on Monday, July 30 and Wednesday, August 1,
anytime after 10 a.m. Call Ramblewood (856-235-2118 ext. 2) and mention that
you will be competing in the JustGolf Championship at Ramblewood on August 6.
The club will have a list of competitors on hand.
The championship will be played on the Red and Blue nines. Men
will play the White tees (6,289 yards). Women will play the Red tees (5,098
yards).
Men over 70 who choose to play in the Senior Championship
will play a combination of White and Gold tees (5,583 yards). If you play a
practice round, play from the Gold tees on every hole but the following, where
you should practice from the front of the White tee box: Red 1, 2, and 7; Blue
2, 7, and 9. (The way the course is set up for general play, all of the senior
tees are on the Red tee boxes, for a total distance of only 5,153 yards. It was
decided that this is too short a distance for a championship tournament.)
One trophy will be awarded to the Men’s Champion (played
from the White tees), and one to the Senior Champion (gentleman over 70 playing
from the combination Gold/White tees).
One trophy will be awarded to the Women’s Champion. A second
trophy will be awarded to the Senior Champion if there are enough participants
to cover the expense. Age cutoff would be determined after all entries are
received. If there is a Senior Division, it will be announced prior to the
competition.
